CARE advocates anticipate and respond to the needs of students impacted by sexual assault, dating/domestic violence and stalking by providing confidential advocacy and support. The CARE office provides immediate, confidential and supportive crisis intervention and advocacy for ALL survivors.

The Title IX/Sexual Harassment Office has the primary responsibility for educating the campus community on sexual harassment and sexual violence; providing ways to prevent sexual harassment and sexual violence; assisting individuals involved in complaints of sexual harassment; assisting victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking; and investigating and resolving complaints of sexual harassment and sexual violence.

Through student support services, community involvement, multicultural events and leadership training, the Ethnic and Gender Program Offices prepare students to invent the future of our global community.
Division of Diversity, Excellence and Equity
The Division of Diversity, Excellence and Equity and the associate vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion (AVC-DI) lead initiatives that promote diversity as a means to excellence. The AVC-DI works to recruit diverse faculty, staff and students, and creates a campus culture of open inquiry, pluralism and mutual respect. The division includes the Office of Faculty and Staff Affirmative Action, and the Title IX/Sexual Harassment Office.
Department of Gender and Sexuality Studies
The Department of Gender and Sexuality Studies at UCR combines theory with informed action. Its curriculum is designed to help students learn from the similarities and differences among women's experiences nationally and around the world.
