The Vagina Monologues

Created by playwright Eve Ensler, The Vagina Monologues chronicles her more than 200 interviews with women designed to celebrate women's strength and sexuality. It has become a global movement to stop violence against women and girls and to educate and change social attitudes towards violence against women.  As you listen to the emotional stories of these women, you will be moved to laugh and cry, cheer and shout.  We invite you to join us for this moving performance.

Human trafficking is a form of moder-day slavery that often begins as a promised job and a hope for a new future, which can become forced labor or sex under the threats against the person or their family, or debt servitude.

Learn How to recognize potential victims and find out what you can do to help!  A victim of trafficking may look like many of the people you see every day.  Ask the right questions and look for clues.  You are vital because you may be the only outsider with the opportunity to speak with a victim.

Discover how to identify dangerous situations and people.  Learn to defend yourself against muggings, car-jackings and rape.  Find out how to prevent assaults and practice how to effectively fight back in potentially life-threatening situations. 
Classes are fun, relaxed and interactive with lots of opportunities for questions.  The physical techniques are easy to learn and practiced to become part of your self-defense 'tool belt."

About the Campus Safety Escort Service

The CAMPUS SAFETY ESCORT SERVICE is in operation Sunday through Thursday, dark to midnight. CSES dispatches from the first floor of the HUB and from Rivera Library.  If you need an escort when the Service is not in operation, contact the Campus Police Department at (951) 827-5222.
