2009 Donate-A-Cell Phone Campaign: “Call to Protect”
(During the month of October only)
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. During the month, the WRC will accept donated cell phones that will be refurbished, with all proceeds forwarded to the Wireless Foundation’s national "Call to Protect program", established in 1996 to provide emergency wireless phones with airtime and financial support to aid the campaign to end domestic violence and serve domestic violence survivors. Obsolete or damaged phones are safely and responsibly recycled in strict accordance with all applicable environmental guidelines.
Leave battery attached; erase all personal data before donating your phone; accessories are not required, but gladly accepted; tax-deduction forms are available for your convenience. Your cell phone donation may be made in person or via campus mail to the Women’s Resource Center.
