Harassment and Assault

You do not have to deal with circumstances alone. There are many concerned people at UCR and in the community who can provided needed services toward assault, harassment, and related infractions or crimes.

If you are a survivor of assault (i.e., rape), stalking, hate, call:

UCR Campus Police Department
For emergency or medical attention - x9-911
From residence halls - x9-911
From campus phones - x9-911
For non-emergency - x25222

Other Support Services
Title IX Officer - x27070
Counseling Center - x25531
Campus Health Services - x23031

Along with emotional support, you would need immediate medical attention. Do not shower or change clothes. Go to a hospital or the Campus Health Services to be examined and treated for possible venereal disease or internal injuries. Whether or not you plan to file charges, report the attack to Campus Police or other campus officials. (Reporting a rape does not require you to file charges. You can make that decision later.)

If you think you have experienced sexual harassment, race/sex discrimination, call:

Title IX Officer - x27070
Affirmative Action - x25604
Student Judicial Affairs - x22428

Various offices can offer help in coping and preventative measures. For personal assistance or to arrange an in-service, call (951) 827-7070. Email information, referrals and complaints to TitleIX@ucr.edu.
